This is unacceptable for an island with a large population of disabled and elderly resident, not to mention people with baby strollers and bicycles. This elevator seems beyond repair and should probably be replaced; and a full-time attendant should be provided in the interim for the now highly inaccessible emergency/handicapped elevator. Absolutely appalling callousness to the needs of an island population with limited means of transportation.

    EVERY WINTER IT SEEMS AS IF THIS BUILDING IS VERY COLD. THERE ARE CHILDREN IN THIS BUILDING. MYSELF AND SOME NEIGHBORS ARE COMPLAINING BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE HEAT OR WE HAVE VERY LITTLE HEAT. THE CITY WAS CALLED A FEW TIMES AND WHEN A BUILDING INSPECTOR COMES, IT SEEMS LIKE THE SUPER RAPIDLY TURNS ON THE HEAT AND THEN WHEN THE CITY LEAVES, SO DOES THE HEAT! ITS RIDICULOUS FOR STRUGGLING FAMILIES TO PAY RENT WITHOUT RECEIVING AN ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF HEAT. MY CHILD IS 5 YEARS OLD. 5 YEARS OLD! WE ALL HAVE A COLD BECAUSE OF THIS MOLDY AND COLD APARTMENT. THIS IS YEAR 2013! CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE ASAP! PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO HELP US. WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED.
